Round 2 Auction Success: Hydrom, the driving force behind Oman's green hydrogen strategy, has successfully completed its second round of auctions.
Competitive Costs: Hydrom claims a "significant" part of the involved consortiums have secured offtake agreements with costs competitive with blue hydrogen. While specific figures are confidential, strong industry interest (over 200 registered companies) indicates a positive market response.
Building on Momentum: This adds to six deals signed in 2023 for projects in Duqm and Salalah regions, with a total investment of $38 billion and a production target of 925,000 mt/year by 2030.
Strategic Land Allocation: Three designated areas - Duqm, Dhofar, and Al Jazir - offer a vast 50,000 sq km landmass for project development.
